About

My name is Catherine Worsley and I’m the owner and director of Northern Lights Creative, based in the beautiful World Heritage Site of Saltaire in Yorkshire. I started my own business in 2001, initially as a Graphic Designer & Illustrator. After completing the amazing Make it in Design ‘Art & Business of Surface Pattern Design’ course I discovered a life-changing passion for Pattern Design. This started an exciting journey for me and after many, many hours of doodling at any opportunity I started taking on exciting commissions. My designs have appeared on many products but mainly greetings cards, homewares, fashion accessories, giftware and wall art. Clients include Moonpig, IG Design Group, Pavers Ltd & TJ Maxx.

I am very proud to be represented by Advocate Art (www.advocate-art.com).

I’m at my happiest when working with many different mediums to create dynamic and textured patterns, living in Yorkshire provides a never ending supply of doodling opportunities and Saltaire is a vibrant creative hub, I’m normally found in Salts Mill (the home of David Hockney’s paintings) finding inspiration (and cake!), or in the local park drawing flowers.

I am available for licensing collaborations, commissions & freelance work, if you want to know more please get in touch for a friendly chat.
